Attended Sandra Cisneros’s appearance at Cal State Bakersfield on November 7. “The House on Mango Street” was the Freshman Read selection in the first quarter.
Attended a UC Berkeley library fundraiser in Bakersfield at which David Mas Masumoto spoke and read. Got these books signed, too.

We enjoyed the conversation between Nathan Englander (whose mind is like a fire hose putting out a four-alarm fire) and Rabbi Menachem Creditor at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in SF on May 4.
Obtained this from City Lights Books in Sylva, NC, just up the road from where Ron Rash teaches at Western Carolina University.
Needless to say, I am very pleased to own this signed copy, along with signed copies of the other two Pulitzer finalists by Nathan Englander and Eowyn Ivey.
